Small Saturday is a grassroots, non-political, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local' and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses, however Michelle Ovens, National Campaign Director, launches the 's Small Saturday 2014 in London on July 8

 

Small Saturday may still seem a long way away, but the search for this year's Small Saturday 100 has begun! As Saturday is all about championing small businesses, we are once again using our social media channels to feature 100 small businesses, one a day for the 100 days leading up to December 6th. Last year's 100 not only received exposure on our social media channels and in the local press, but also joined the Saturday team in London at a reception in Downing Street with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne.
