Dr. Umar Abdullah-Johnson a Certified school Psychologist who practices privately throughout Pennsylvania and lectures throughout the country has decided to open the Fredrick Douglas & Marcus Garvey Leadership Academy for African children. Umar a blood relative of Frederick Douglass, the great Black abolitionist and orator evaluates children from ages 3-21 in an effort to determine if they have educational disabilities and a need for special education. With your help his plan is to purchase the Saint Paul's College located in Lawrenceville, virginia, the college is a historically black college that open its doors on September 24, 1888. The college had long experienced significant financial difficulties, culminating in a court conflict in 2012, and had since closed its doors on June 30, 2013. Now with your help through donations Dr. Umar is looking to revive the college and develop an educational system that would be beneficial for young African Americans.
