Imagine an app like Instagram or Twitter, but with a directory that pulls up the profiles of all the locally owned and operated places around you. You can easily filter by business category, find and follow your favorite independent stores and restaurants, discover new spots, and share your connection to these places with your family and friends. And you can do all of this without chain stores clouding your view. There are no chains on DISTRICT and never will be.
Andy an app developer with a digital business background and working with his friend, Rami, an expert in digital design. Out of a shared passion for supporting local businesses, they're building an app to make it easier shop & eat local. They're here to cut through the noise and introduce you to curators and craftsmen you'd otherwise miss. They need to raise $20,000 to finish building, testing, and launching version 1 of the iPhone app as shown above. If you're unable to donate, it would be greatly appreciated if you help in getting the word out. To donate click here for more information.
