The Drakes Bay Oyster is at risk of closure. On November 29, 2012, the federal government issued a decision that gave a family-run oyster business in northern california 90 days to shut down their business and vacate the National Park Land that has been home to the farm for generations. The company states NPS misrepresented the law, our contracts with the State of california, and the results of scientific studies. The fight is not over. We are in court to protest this.
