This episode, of “Made in America, Taco by Taco,” focuses on an immigrant family business, the Taqueria Izucar—owned by Juan Alonso and Gicela Lopez. The space is less than 100 square feet, with no tables or chairs, the couple runs a busy Mexican take-out restaurant in brooklyn with the help of their seven children, aged 11 to 24. Gicela and Juan are confident they're on the right path to their “American dream,” after spending most of their lives working in factories as illegal immigrants.
