Donckers' building and business may be historic, but its approach is very contemporary. They make ethical decisions in regards to how their business impacts the world using renewable energy, biodegradable and compostable packaging, recycling, and composting food waste are examples of how they aim to do better for the environment. Also the building is equip with high efficiency equipment, solar roof panels and 1,700 LED lights that illuminate the restaurant's signature marquee.
